Angela Denise Stevens, a resident of Bristow, OK passed from this life on Sunday, the 6th of February 2022, at the age of 67 years. She was born to Curtis B. McLaughlin and Constance Helen McLaughlin (Whinery) on the 15th of March 1954 in Tahlequah, OK. Angela attended U.S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City, then went on to study Art and Child Psychology at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah. She was a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation. Angela and her husband were longtime residents of Sapulpa where anyone who walked through their door was family. Angela was an artist, photographer, storyteller, and a self-titled head cook and bottle washer. Her contagious smile, hardy laugh, and huge heart will be missed by more than anyone can count. Angela is survived by her husband of 38 years, Lester Wayne Stevens, son Jeremy Craig Stevens and wife Kelli of Tulsa, son Curtis Dion Arbuckle of Bristow, daughter Stephanie Michelle (Davis) Matthews and husband Jason of Kiefer, son Shawn Martin Stevens of Bartlesville, and son Jackson Asa Kirtley Stevens and wife Tara of Broken Arrow, her mother Constance Helen (Whinery) McGuffin of Broken Arrow, and mother Elizabeth Ann (Grissom) McLaughlin of Bartlesville, 20 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren...that we know of. She was preceded in death by her father Curtis B. McLaughlin and sister Cynthia Michelle (McLaughlin) Wilcox.
