Johnny Lee Shouse was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on November 16, 1940, to John and Sylvia Shouse. Johnny went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at the age of 81 surrounded by family in the comfort of his home. Johnny graduated from Jay High School, received his bachelor’s degree in education at Northeastern State, and his Master’s degree in Education. He was employed by Sapulpa Public Schools when he retired as an Elementary School Principal. Johnny married Jane Elizabeth Powell on September 3, 1960, at the First Methodist Church in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. They made their home in Sapulpa and their marriage was blessed with 3 children: David, Steven and Leslie. Johnny was an avid golfer - with a hole in one, bowler- bowling a 298, and fisherman. He also enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Oklahoma City Thunder. Johnny is survived by wife Jane Shouse; brother Bill Shouse and wife Linda children David Shouse and wife Shaunna, Steven Shouse and wife Ashley Spears, and Leslie Badgwell; grandchildren Katy and Jason Hedrick, Michael and Chelsey Shouse, Caleb and Berkley Shouse; Kayla Justice, Maegan Swearingin, Daniel Shouse, Cameron Swearingin, and Andrew Lile; great-grandchildren Savannah Esau, Pryce Badgwell, Jackson Hedrick, Henry Shouse, Violet Shouse, William Shouse Jonas Shouse and Lilly Shouse.
