Obituary of Roy Lee Peters, Jr.

Roy “Lee” Peters Jr. was called home to be with the lord unexpectedly on February 26th, 2022, at the age of 52. He was born to Roy and Joann Peters on December 31st, 1969, in Tulsa, Oklahoma Lee was married for 34 years to Angela Peters and resided in Dustin, Oklahoma. Lee spent several decades as a professional hunter and Hunting Ranch Manager. An avid sportsman, Lee was best at home in the outdoors sharing his love for animals, hunting, fishing, and many other outdoor activities. His knowledge and love of the wilderness called him to become a world class hunting guide, ranch manager, and friend. Lee is survived by his wife Angela “Hester” Peters and children Ricky Wayne Peters, Randy Lee Peters and Laura LeDawn Peters as well as his grandchildren Karleigh, Brantlee, Brylee, along with his siblings Kathy Bauer and husband Randy Bauer, Sharon Wynn and husband Ron Wynn, Tina Shoemaker and husband Gene Shoemaker. Lee was an astounding bull rider and cowboy protector for 17 years. He began his career in HVAC work shortly after high school, but soon discovered his true home was in the wild. Lee spent several years as an integral part of several hunting operations and was an extremely knowledgeable hunter as well as a proficient marksman and gunsmith. Lee was passionate about his faith and family, hosting regular bible study sessions in his home, and lending his services as a talented singer to churches and services whenever called to do so. Lee Peters was an amazing man and will forever live in the hearts of all who embrace the call of the wild. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed.
