Obituary of Joseph Thomas Ross

Joseph Thomas Ross of Owasso passed away May 10, 2022, at the age of 46. He was born on February 22, 1976, in Leominster, Massachusetts. Joe graduated from Owasso High School in 1994 and served in the Army National Guard for 9 years. He married the love of his life, Robin, in 1998. Joe was a devoted and loving husband and a proud and attentive father. Quality time with Robin was a priority for Joe, whether it was traveling together, spending time in the pool, or cooking a quiet meal at home. He loved supporting and watching Peyton play sports in addition to their shared love of video games. He was always there to encourage and nurture Marissa’s cheer, tumbling, and artistic endeavors. As an avid outdoorsman, Joe enjoyed various types of hunting and fishing. Some of his favorite places were in his kayak on the water or in his deer stand enjoying nature. He is preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Gillert. Joe is survived by his wife Robin of 23 years, son, Peyton, and daughter, Marissa. Survivors include brother Michael Ross and wife Sirikit of Owasso, Ron and Mary Cox of Collinsville, Kim Cox of Owasso, Uncle John Gillert, and wife Kim of Owasso. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and neighbors. Because Joe’s children are his greatest legacy, an education fund has been established with Arvest Bank for the benefit of Peyton and Marissa Ross.
