Barbara Marie Pitts, age 83, of Mannford, Oklahoma, passed away May 24, 2022, at Cimarron Pointe Care Center. Barbara was born November 26, 1938, in Watonga, Oklahoma to Odell and Jewell (Radican) Pitts. Barbara was the 4th child of eight and the last child of the family born in Oklahoma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Betty Bushong, bothers Donnie Pitts, Jerry Pitts, William Keith “Billy” Pitts, brother-in-law Joe Bennett, Tommy Bushong, sister-in-law Vivian Pitts, Carol Pitts, and niece Paula Bushong. She is survived by her sister Shirley Bennett, brother Clyde Pitts, sister Patricia “Patsy” Holden, brother-in-law Joe Holden, many nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces. She attended high school in Gregory, Texas graduating in 1956. In March of 1957, she moved to San Leandro, California where she began working for Pacific Telephone. Barbara retired in 1995 from Pacific Telephone after 37 ½ years of service. Barbara’s love of family brought her back to Oklahoma. She loved spending time, especially the holidays, with her family. She was sure to brighten every memory with her smile! After moving to Mannford, Shirley and Patricia’s husbands taught Barbara how to drive at the age of 57! Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
