Obituary of Gayle Sue Crabtree

Gayle Sue Crabtree (Broomhall) came into this world on December 4, 1951 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. That is also where she passed from this life on June 8, 2022. Gayle was the baby of 10 children born to William Finers Broomhall and Ruth Lee Broomhall. She was definitely always her Momma's baby! Gayle graduated from Glenpool High School. She was a homemaker and mother to her three children Robert Broomhall, Felicia Crabtree and Timmy Joe Crabtree. She also worked as a waitress for 50 years before retiring. Her last place to work was Brookside Diner in Tulsa. Gayle was a bubbly, sweet lady and enjoyed her customers and coworkers. She loved the Lord, enjoyed reading the Bible, and singing Gospel music. She had a beautiful voice. She gave praise to the Lord every day. Gayle cherished her grandchildren Desiree Crabtree, Rhema Kannon and Timothy Crabtree. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family playing Rook, dominoes, other card games, and sometimes Monopoly! She loved her coffee! She was a very sweet, friendly lady but did not like to lose at Rook and could be crabby before having her coffee. She loved dogs and had several fur babies/lap dogs throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Ruth Broomhall; her sisters Gladys Chanel, Barbara Bledsoe and Doris Brown; her brothers Bill Broomhall, Charles Broomhall, Jerry Broomhall, Earl Broomhall and Johnny Broomhall and her husband Joe Crabtree. She is survived by her children, Robbie Broomhall, Felicia Crabtree and Timmy Joe Crabtree; her grandchildren Desiree Crabtree, Rhema Kannon and Timothy Crabtree, her sister Caroline Wood, as well as a large extended family with lots of nieces and nephews, who all love their Aunt Gayle. Her children feel honored to have a mother who brought so many people to the Lord and now be laying her to rest and earn her Heavenly rewards. Gayle will be laid to rest at Green Hill Cemetery on Monday June 13th. There will be a memorial following her gravesite burial at a yet to be determined location.
