Obituary of Ray Allen Henderson

Ray was born in Marion, Indiana on April 7, 1964 to John and Roda Henderson. He moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1975. He passed from this life August 7, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Ray loved to work on anything that had a motor! He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed fishing and gardening, and when he was younger picking on his sisters, but you could often find him painting Hailie’s toenails. He was an awesome dad and papa.  Ray would take in any kid that needed help. He was a father figure to many.

Ray was employed at CG Martin for 16 years after many years working in the oil fields. He had a good and generous heart and would help anyone in need, even if it meant giving them the shirt off his back.

On June 11, 2011, Ray married Tammie Barber. He is survived by his wife Tammie; sons Clifton “Bubba”, Johnny, and Ray, Jr.; daughters Sarah, Tera and Leslie; brothers James (Nicki) Henderson, and Frankie Henderson; sisters Patty Bartrom, Judy (Jimmie) McGlothlin, and Pam (Kevin) Wynn; granddaughters Hailie, Allysis, Kylie, Avery, and Riley; grandsons Bryton, Mason, and Jaxon; great grandson Elijah; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents John and Roda Henderson; brothers John Evertt, John, Jr., and Albert; sisters Rosie and Annie; mother-in-law Betty Barber and father-in-law Henry Barber.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, Aug 12 th at 10:00 AM at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel - Sapulpa 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug 11 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Green Hill Funeral Home - Sapulpa 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa

Ray's Final Resting place is in Green Hill Memorial Gardens 400 E. Teel Rd., Sapulpa
