Obituary of Oleta McDaniel

Oleta (Hulsey) McDaniel was born in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on July 25, 1936 to parents LeRoy and Effie Hulsey. She finished her earthly journey and went to be with her Lord on August 19, 2022. Oleta was 86 years old.

Oleta was a waitress for 20 years and then worked at and retired from Walmart after 20 years of service. She enjoyed traveling and listening to bluegrass music. She loved being around family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband James “Bud” McDaniel; parents Effie and LeRoy Hulsey; grandson James Kelly; siblings Orville Hulsey, Vernard Hulsey, Leona Gilbert, LoLa Mae Traver, and Hazel Feeback. She is survived by children Robert and Kathy Williams of Ashkum, IL, Brenda Kelly and Doug Horinek of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and DeWayne and Twyla Sharpe of Talala, Oklahoma; sister Ethel Faye McGlaughlin of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 12 great, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Services will be held at Westside Free Will Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 26, 2022 with interment in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. The casket will not be opened the day of the service. Visitation will be held at Green Hill Funeral Home from 4-8 pm Thursday, August 25^th. Arrangements are in the care of Green Hill Funeral Home.
