Obituary of SIE JONES

Please share a memory of SIE to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sie Jones was born on a farm in Olive, Oklahoma on March 20, 1924. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII for three years, one month and 16 days. Sie taxied airplanes and enjoyed competing in boxing while in the Navy. His most memorable trip was when he went to California to work in the Piute Mountains in the saw mills. This is where he met his wife, Virginia and got married. They moved back to Oklahoma after three years, where there raised five girls and two boys in Kellyville. His chosen career path was as a cement finisher, being the best there was at laying cement. He always said he could do it blindfolded. Sie Jones was a dedicated participant at Life's Adult Day Center in Central Tulsa. He enjoyed playing dominoes and was frequently seen riding the stationary bike. Coming to Life "gives me something to do" he would say. Any mention of Sie at the center or when he passed friends to play dominoes always brought a smile. Sie was always well liked, easy going, and had the kind of attitude others wanted to catch. Work and family were important accomplishments for Sie. He enjoyed playing shuffleboard and dominoes and sitting with his sons chewing tobacco. Sie enjoyed 85 years on this earth and is survived by 5 children and their spouses along with numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
