Obituary of Jerry Wayne Meek

Jerry Wayne Meek was born September 17, 1967 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Edith and Charles Meek. He passed from this life on November 24, 2022 at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

 

Jerry graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1985and then received his Associates degree in Computer Engineering in 1987 from Tulsa Community College. He lived in Sapulpa all his life, until he married and made a home in Sand Springs for 10 years before moving back to Sapulpa 15 years ago. Jerry met the love of his life, Carla Little, in 1997 at First Mission Campground. The couple married on August 23, 1997 at Garden Heights FWBC. He loved playing his guitar and harmonica in church and at home with his family. He loved his wife and three beautiful daughters, Hannah, Beth, and Gloria. He worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 10 years and worked various jobs until he went to work for SeneGence five years ago as a Fulfillment Associate. He loved the Lord and answered the call to Preach at First Mission Campgrounds and became an Ordained Minister in May of 2003. He pastored First FWBC in Sapulpa for many months and preached at different churches around the state.

 

Jerry was preceded in death by grandparents Allen & Frances Jones and Frances Meek; mother Edith Jones Meek; infant children Aime RayAnne and Matthew Wayne; sister Cindy Lawson; and uncle Daniel Meek. He is survived by wife Carla Meek; three daughters Hannah, Beth and Gloria Meek; father Charles Meek, brother Chris Meek and wife Carol; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

 

Jerry’s legacy will be continued by his many family and friends. He was and will always be dearly loved and cherished by everyone that knew him.
