Obituary of Ronnie Leon McCaslin

Ronnie Leon McCaslin was born to Leamon and Juanita Mae McCaslin on August 8, 1951 in Stigler OK. He passed away on November 9th, 2022 in McKinney, Texas.

 

Ron, or as many people knew him, “POPS”, lived by the mantra of working hard and playing hard. He wore many hats throughout his diverse career. His first paying job was at the early age of 12, where he worked alongside his twin, John, as a labor worker. He was later drafted into the Army as a mechanic, worked as a door man in a swanky high-rise building, served as a Police Officer for 15yrs, a dump truck driver, concrete finisher, heavy equipment operator and lastly, a cross-country truck driver. Ron had many sayings in his life, but none more used then “It’s only money, I’ll just go make some more.” He worked till the age of 70, where he retired only after receiving his diagnosis of cancer.

 

He LOVED music, singing, playing the guitar, Windsor Canadian Whiskey and making memories with family and friends.

 

Ron is proceeded in death by his father and mother, as well as, siblings Raymond McCaslin, Charlene Lambert, Roy McCaslin and Leamon English and daughter, Cindy Kilpatrick. He is survived by his sister Lavern Bailey and brother John McCaslin, as well as, his children, David McCaslin, Veronica Mozell, Eric Belloc Bonfiglio, Krystal Billingsly, Jerad and his wife Katherine McCaslin, and eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
