W. Elizabeth "Nana" Brown
Beth passed from this life March 12, 2010, at the age of 89. She and her husband, Chet Brown, shared 54 happy years of marriage before his passing in April 2005.
Beth managed the cosmetics department for Reel Drug Store in Sapulpa, OK, for many years. She and Chet had an entrepreneurial spirit and their endeavors included a flower shop and a hamburger stand, both in Sapulpa. Beth was a long-time member of the Business and Professional Women's Club.
Beth was an avid bridge player and upon relocating to Barling, Arkansas, she took lessons and learned to play Duplicate Bridge, which she enjoyed very much. The lives of Beth and Chet were enriched by the many friends they made through RV-ing and their membership in the Sapulpa Elks.
Beth was a gregarious, happy, caring lady who loved people. She was always quick with a laugh and a joke and people responded. We'll miss her.
She is survived by nieces: Michele Hough, Linda Faircloth, Karen Mayes, Teri Blanchard, Nancy Crockett; and nephews: Forest Redwood, Wallace Doolin, and Rob Kuhlman.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at Green Hill Cemetery, Sapulpa, OK, under the direction of Green Hill Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 2901 Massard Rd. Ft. Smith, AR 72903
