Obituary of Cornella Clark

Please share a memory of Cornella to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Cornella Clark, 90 years of Kellyville, passed from this life December 5, 2022. She was born November 13, 1932 in Mannford, Oklahoma to Curtis Eugene and Myrtle Marie (Taylor) Peacock.

She attended Olive Schools growing up. She was a member of the Westside Freewill Baptist Church in Sapulpa.  She married Cleites King in 1950 and they were blessed with twin daughters.

She was a nurse at Saint Francis Hospital for 15 years and a waitress at Denham Restaurant. She was a very hard worker and taught her daughters to be responsible at a young age. She worked long hours providing for them. She was never able to attend their activities, but they loved her anyway. She was always taking care of others.

As a homemaker, she was known by her family and friends as an excellent cook. If you knew Cornella in her younger days, she would always have the coffee pot brewing and a yummy coconut cream pie made, which she was a master at. All the grandchildren remember her biscuits and gravy and banana split pies she made at Christmas as well as her chocolate sheet cake and too many more to name.

She enjoyed many things through the years including camping in a RV with friends, playing dominoes which, she would always win, although later on we would always make sure the score was in her favor. It made her day. She also enjoyed playing cards, working puzzles for hours, bingo, traveling, taking cruises and spending time with her family.

Cornella is survived by her children Gleneva Masterson and husband Randy, Geneva Hellard and husband Doug, both of Glenpool, OK, one sibling Louise Miller and husband Dutch, seven grandchildren: Lori McCaskey and husband Wade, Greg McGuire and wife Sheila, Keli Masterson and husband Don, Gayla Holley and husband Joel, Jeri Sue Blackwood and husband Daren, Jason Masterson and wife Lindsay and Angie Wood and husband Russell, seven great-grandchildren, twelve great, great-grandchildren. Some she never got to meet but they would have loved her. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents Curtis and Marie Peacock, siblings Dorothy Bartley, L.C. Peacock, Burnis Peacock, Gene Peacock, Elmer Peacock and Carl Peacock, husbands Cleties King, Charlie Holmes, Lawrence James and Carl Clark.

A special thank you to the Gardens Nursing Home and Hospice for loving and taking care of Cornella. May God bless you all.

Thanks to everyone that has been there for her through her tough time, but she has made it. The most important thing she told us is when God calls her home, she is ready to meet home.

Cornella was blessed with 90 years, and she did her way. She was loved deeply and will be greatly missed.
