Obituary of Jeffrey Tower Cox

Jeffery Tower Cox was born May 1st 1966 to Richard and Delila Cox at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jeff left this life on the evening of December 25th 2022 with his mother and sister at his side, after a brief battle with cancer. Jeff was preceded in death by his father Richard. Jeff was survived by his mother Delila Miles, sister Sherri (Jim) Alexander, brother Dan Cox, sons Austin Cox, Rodney (Tasha) Frazier, Ethan Cox, and daughter Kayce (Eli) Hoffman. As a teenager, Jeff grew up in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He enjoyed life along the banks of the Arkansas River fishing, playing guitar and riding motorcycles with his best friends Mike Vallet and Grant Collins. At 16 he got a job as a disk jockey at KTOW 1340AM. He graduated Charles Page Highschool in 1984. In 1988 Jeff joined the Navy, but a foot injury ended his Navy career early. Jeff lived in several different states and worked as a manufacturing supervisor for several years before his passion for photography took him to Pennsylvania, where he operated his photography business for several years. In 2017 Jeff moved back to Oklahoma to be near his son and mother. He spent his free time shooting, fishing and telling stories of days past with family and friends. In the last year of his life, Jeff accepted the position as shelter supervisor for John 3:16 Mission in Tulsa. Jeff loved his job, the people he worked with and the impact he felt being able to help those who need it most.
