Please share a memory of Harold to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Harold Franklin “Frank” Sullivan, 83, left this life on January 4, 2023, at his home in Owasso, OK, surrounded by family.

Frank was born on August 15, 1939, at Wagoner, OK.  He was the son of Grover Franklin Sullivan and Velma Mattilou (Cothran) Sullivan.

He was the youngest of seven children and is survived by one sister, Mary Day of Wagoner, OK.  A 1957 graduate of Wagoner High School, he went on to graduate from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, OK. He served in the United States Navy from 1957-1961. Frank worked in industry as a human resource manager until his retirement in 1995.  Following his first retirement, he attended Victory Bible Institute in Tulsa, OK and then worked as the Human Resources Director at Victory Christian Center until his final retirement in 2013.

Frank was married to Karen Tweedy Sullivan on July 27, 1962.  Their marriage produced three children, Daniel Scott Sullivan (Melanie) of Tulsa, OK, Susan Diane (Sullivan) Hanchette (Al) of Owasso, OK, and Julie Ann (Sullivan) Sims of Durant, OK.  He is survived by his wife, 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren with another expected soon.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Velma Sullivan, sisters Luella Sullivan, Dorothy McDaniel, Viva Dean Baker, Joyce Wilkey Lemley and brother Vernon Sullivan.

Frank and Karen recently celebrated 60 years of marriage last July and have many wonderful memories of travels and time with family.  Always looking for the humorous side of a story, Frank enjoyed making people laugh, spending time with family and his beloved wife, Karen.  Frank’s deep faith in Jesus Christ centered his life and shaped his response to his health challenges and how he faced his last days on earth.  His consistent desire was that all of his family have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
