Obituary of Janet Sue Whinery

Janet Sue (Smith) Whinery was born October 1, 1943 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Bradley Ivan Smith, II and Juanita Virginia (Adams) Smith. Janet passed away on February 9, 2023 at the age of 79.

Janet married William Dean Whinery, Sr. on April 24, 1978 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. They had two children, William Jeremiah Whinery and Jamie DeAnn  (Whinery) Harsha. The couple was also blessed with 7 grandchildren, Allen Harsha, Kyley Whinery, Autumn Hladik, Chance Harsha, Destiny Harsha, Kira Whinery, and Kelsi Harsha.

Janet loved working around her yard and keeping her rose bushes beautiful. She had a heart for gardening. You could drive by and always count on seeing her working outside. But her most important job, the one she took the most pride in, was being the best mom, and a wonderful, loving , and caring grandmother. She spent every moment she could with her grandchildren.
