Obituary of Virginia Morris

Annie Virginia Morris, 83, of Sapulpa, passed from life and went to be with her Lord on February 12, 2023.  She was born September 25, 1939 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to Ruth and Carl Eugene McKinzie. 

 

Virginia graduated from Sapulpa High School.  She met and married the love of her life, Billy Joe Morris, on April 6, 1957 in Drumright, Oklahoma.  They shared 56 wonderful years together.  Virginia was active as a homemaker raising five children and then worked at American Heritage Bank for 20 years as head teller.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy and one son, Jerry Morris.  Virginia enjoyed baking, gardening, all arts & crafts, specializing in oil painting, and even taught painting classes.  She also enjoyed playing cards and being with friends and family. 

 

Virginia is survived by her children: Rick Morris of Grove, OK, Junell Ross of Kiefer, OK, Glenda Osteen and her husband Chris of Bedford, Texas and Larry Morris of Sapulpa, (9) Grandchildren, (14) Great-Grandchildren, and one Sister Irene Cochran of Mannford, OK.

 

Funeral services will be Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Green Hill Funeral Home with interment in Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
