On Monday, February 20, 2023, Jerry Lewis, loving husband, father, and grandfather, went to be with the Lord at the age of 81. Jerry was born on April 18, 1941 in Gypsy, OK to Lloyd and Imogene Lewis. After high school, he joined the Army and later transferred to the Navy. While in Panama, he volunteered to be reassigned to Vietnam as one of the few land-based Navy personnel. Specializing in communications while in the service, he later used that experience to work at a satellite station that relayed the moon landing and the Apollo 13 mission. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed listening to the music of Roy Orbison, and spending time with his family.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Lloyd, his mother, Imogene, his brothers Jesse and Elmer, and his sisters, Olive and Imoloyd. He is survived by his wife Linda, his former wife Betty and their three children, Susan, Bennett, and Paul, his five grandchildren, Malacki, Iyon, Becca, Leo, and Lea, his step-children Amy and Adam, and his step-grandchildren, Zoe and Jacob. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Green Hill Funeral Home at 2pm. Flowers or donations may be sent to 400 East Teel Road, Sapulpa, OK 74066
