She also leaves behind grandchildren, Kozeta Cameron (Brian), Thomas Wilson (Anita), Steven Dugan (Ashley), Darci Long, Michael Hill, John Wilson (Angela), Christi Williamson (Eric) and Rachel Rumple (Dwayne). Her great-grandchildren are Blake Wilson, Kassie Cameron, Colby Long, Kylee Williamson, Cheyenne Hill, Tara Cameron, Ty Williamson, Nick Morris, Chance Hill, Bryce Williamson, Emma Wilson, Audrey Wilson, Talon Williamson and Henley Beth Wilson. She is also survived by sisters; Fannie Shockley (Boone), Peggy Cook, Pat Sullivan (W.L.) and Linda Becham of California and Betty Dugan (Randy) of Sapulpa. She also has one surviving brother, Tommy Womack (Linda) of California. She has one surviving sister-in-law, Norma Davis of Texas and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her loyal companion of 13 years, Mitzi, her dog. Alma grew up in Ashdown, Arkansas and then migrated to California in the 40's. After she was grown, married and had her four daughters, the decision was made to move to Oklahoma to have a better place to raise children. Except for a couple of years spent in Kiefer, Sapulpa was the place that Alma and Tommy chose to spend their lives. Being a wife, mother and grandmother were the most important of her many occupations. She had worked in the canneries in California, Bartlett Hospital and Liberty Glass in Sapulpa and cleaned homes for several families that she considered her own. Her final occupation was her courageous battle fought against Alzheimer's Disease. To some it may look as if she lost that battle but we know that in the end, she won. She is celebrating that victory in heaven today. Alma was a "yellow dog" Democrat and did not back up from a political discussion with anyone. She even ran for City Commissioner once in an attempt to wake the city up to the problems in her part of town. She didn't win the election, but she sure brought some attention to her neighborhood. Before her health began to fail, she could often be seen sweeping debris out of the street or mowing the city's grass where Main Street splits into 75A. She felt like people should take care of each other and she always did her part. There are many that could testify to her generosity of her time, money and talents. Services for Alma are scheduled for Monday, May 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 400 E. Teel Road, Sapulpa, OK. Interment will follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens.
