Donald G lowery was born April 5 1936 in Keota Oklahoma to Walker and Loma Lowery. He went to be with the lord on May 1, 2010. Donald grew up in the Keota Pryor and Sallisaw areas. He was proceeded in death by his mother Loma Elizabeth Neal; his father walker lowery; his sisters Hazel Odel and Maxine Garrison; his daughters Deborah Louise Lowery Gill and Donna Sue Lowery. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Leola Lowery of Beggs; One brother and two sisters Daniel Lowery and wife Eleanor of Stroud, Mary Jo Butler of Milan Tenn., Kathy Garrison of Texas; Two Daughter Cindy Mize of Wagnor and Sandra Wood of Glenpool; 3 granddaughters Jamie Needham -Hatley and husband Jeremy of Beggs, Ricki Gill-Ramsey and husband Adam of Glenpool, Faith Wood of Jenks; one great grandson Dageon Ramsey of Glenpool. Donald was the leader of his family. He took good care of all his four girls and his wife. Then in 1982, his granddaughter Jamie was born. He raised her as his own daughter. Two years after Jamie was born his daughter Debbie had a baby girl her named was Ricki. At this point, his thought he would never have a little boy in his family. 23 years later his daughter Sandra has another little blessing named Faith. He loved all his girls very much. In 2006 Papa finally had his little boy his granddaughter Ricki made his family complete. He got his operational engineer license in 1963. He loved a job. He worked at ORU for 5 years then moved on the University of Tulsa for his last 25 years of work. He retired in 2000 and had 10 years of retirement before his death. Not long before Don retired, he discovered the lord. After, accepting Jesus Christ in his life he was a warrior for winning souls. He touched so many lives by sharing the gospel with anyone who would listen. When don was not winning souls he loved to keep a perfect lawn, watch birds and watch his westerns. In the end of his life, he was suffering from his COPD. He often said he could not wait to be with his savior. While he was lying in his hospital bed moments from dying, he got a burst of energy, got out of bed, and dropped to his knees. Sandra asked what are you doing? He said leave me alone I am going Home. When the nurses got him back in head it was 2 minutes later When he went to the ultimate home Heaven.
