Obituary of Lee Cooper

Fannie “Lee” Cooper, born to William “Leslie” Poole and Elma Ada Poole on September 27th, 1935 in Caney, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 19th, of 2023.

Lee married Jesse Ausborn Cooper in June of 1952, in Yuma, Arizona.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sisters Norma Long and Anna Medlin, and her brother James Poole.

She is survived by two children William “Paul” Cooper and James Robert “Rob” Cooper, two grandchildren Jesse Cooper and Benjamin Cooper, and her brother William Leslie “Bill” Poole.

Lee was a caring and patient mother, talented artist, and enthusiastic painter. She Was active for many years with Three Rivers Artists. She loved living close to Oologah lake on her rural property, and took inspiration for her paintings from the wildlife that wandered through, the birds she fed year round, and the flowers she cultivated. She especially loved irises.
