Reverend Ronald Leslie Prather

Reverend Ronald Prather of Grove Oklahoma went to be with Jesus on April 3, 2023. Ron was preceded in death by his parents Robert Prather and Mabel Prather, as well as two siblings brother Dorvan Robert (Bob) Prather, his sister Juanita Porter and his youngest son Bruce Wayne Prather.

Ron is survived by the love of his life, beloved wife Zella Ruth (Goins) Prather. Also, his 1 brother Melvin Prather, 2 sisters Wanda Jones and Judy Middaugh, 2 sons Monty Allen Prather and his wife Virginia, Steven Ray Prather and his wife Kimberlie. Ron is also survived by his 7 grandchildren Dwight Prather, Jeremey Jackson, Jessica Prather, Cole Prather and wife Destiny, Ethan Prather and Marissa Prather. 7 great grandchildren Hudson, Hadley, Carston, John, Amiya, James, Irelyn.

Ron was a licensed minister with the Assemblies of God. He was a full time Pastor and general contractor. He pastored along with his wife Zella and their three boys in Spavinaw, Salina and Commerce, OK. Ron switched his credentials to the Pentecostal Church of God to Pastor at Barnsdall, OK until his retirement in 1994. Ron kept his ordained minister status with the PCG until his passing. Ron’s dedication and faithfulness was well known among his family and friends. He was a hard-working preacher who loved to sing about his Lord and Savior. He was a loving patient father to his sons, a very loved grandfather and a devoted husband who loved his wife as Christ loves the church.

Visitation: Friday, April 7th from 2pm to 5pm at Green Hill Funeral Home, Owasso, OK.

Graveside Services:  Saturday, April 8th at 1pm at Buzzard Cemetery in Grove, OK.
