Obituary of Terry Allen Skaggs

Please share a memory of Terry to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Terry Skaggs passed away on April 8, 2023 in his home at the age of 53. Terry was born March 6th, 1970, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Gerald Dean and Verda Skaggs.

Terry worked as an electric motor technician at Evans Electric, as well as owning his own dump truck business, “T & T Trucking”. In his later years, he dedicated his life to helping with the family land. Terry always knew how to make someone laugh with all of his handy man fixins, or his added two cents while you were working. He was loved by so many.

Terry married Tammy Skaggs-Jones, who he later had two children with. From a young age, Terry always had a passion for the outdoors. He loved shooting, deer hunting, coon hunting with his dogs, and riding horses. He loved getting together with the family, just talking and listening to music. He was gifted with music in many ways. He could sing, write songs, and play the guitar. He had the stomps and hoop and hollars for any song with a good tune. He also loved animals. Dogs spoke to him most, but had a soft spot for his horses as well.

Terry is preceded in death by his father, Gerald Dean Skaggs, brother, Rick Skaggs. He is survived by mother, Verda Skaggs of Sapulpa, OK, children, Cody Skaggs of Alva, OK. and Tairryn Bowers of Aline, OK, grandchildren, Stetson and Riverly Bowers and Aspen Skaggs.
