Obituary of Denise Rae Pierce

Please share a memory of Denise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Denise Rae Park, known to her family & friends as "Greasy" & "Half Pint" was born in Richmond, California on August 22 1966 to Sharon Kay McClintick & David Gene Wallace. She was unexpectedly taken from this earth in a fatal car accident on Monday August 22 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she'd resided since 2019.

Denise loved her family above everything. In early life she was the third born of six children & she & her siblings were close, her becoming more like a Mother to her younger siblings. On February 6th 1985 she welcomed her baby boy Stephen Joshua Park into this world. Followed by her baby girl Barbara "Barbie" Gene Park on April 26 1987 by then her family had relocated to El Paso, TX. Her greatest pride was her children who she referred to as her Best Friends & her three Grand Daughters she was absolutely in love with. She along with Barbara & her daughter had relocated to Tulsa in 2019 to be close to Stephen & his girls. If you spoke to her on any given day family was most likely what she would talk about. She loved them so much & was so proud of them. If you were an extension of them then you were family too, no exceptions.

Secondary, but only to her family was her love for (all) animals especially her beloved pets, even "GrandPets". If they belonged to the family she loved them just the same. They were ALL Greasy's babies & would shower her with love in return. It was a shared energy you couldn't deny. She is survived in death by her dog "Bandit" she rescued not long after relocating to Tulsa & two puppies she'd just saved off the street "Gypsy" & "Jersey" whom filled her final days with love alongside the other family pets Milo, Irie, Luna, Mozberry Muffin, Harley, Maximus, Kitt, Bakku & Wanda (whom she would be upset if weren't mentioned bcuz no matter what she took time for each & every one of them & us every day).

Denise had many interests, hobbies & occupations throughout her life & had resided in several states making friends with a lot of people along the way. One of her most talked about & loved times in life was working at Furniture World in El Paso, Texas where she met her bosses Sandra & Mike Tovar who would become some of her dearest friends in life. Mike passed away creating an unbreakable bond between her & "Miss Sandy" whom even a decade after closing the store following Mike's passing & Denise moving a state away she would still talk to regularly & assisted her with many things.

Denise loved to cook & bake especially for those she loves. She also enjoyed music, gardening, puzzles, arts & crafts especially drawing, sewing, she was currently teaching herself to crochet as well as had just started all of her vegetable seeds for her garden. Basically ALL things cars/truck were a passion for Denise especially race cars & Dale Earnhardt Jr. She was an experienced mechanic & taught Stephen how to work on cars at a young age. Something she took great pride in. Many weekends she & Stephen could both be found together around a vehicle whether it be messing with one of theirs or a family or friend in need. The last few years Denise was unfortunately unable to really work on them due to pain but that didn't stop her from sitting right there from start to finish no matter what the job.

She is survived in Death by her children Stephen Joshua Park and Barbara Gene Park as well as her Grandaughters Chloe Rachelle Park, Macie Raelynn Park & Aryanna Michelle Gilbertson. Her sister Sandy's children; Junie, Bonnie, Selena & Chance. Brother Tim Wallace & children; Tamra, Heather & Shelly. Brother Joseph Green & children; Lacie, Janis, Charlene & Trey. Baby sister Angela "Angie" Wallace.

Denise was preceded in death by her parents as well as her younger siblings David Wallace & Sandra "Sandy" Wallace, & beloved dog "Bambie". She was joined in death by her children's father Ronald "Ronnie" Sheldon two days later on April 26th 2023.

When God Made You My Mother

I bet you could've used a minute

Just a little time alone

But you let me be your little shadow

Followin' wherever you would go

Then I got a little older

And you gave me space to grow

I don't ever seem to tell you enough, but

I want you to know

When God made you my mother

He knew who I'd need

When he picked you from the others

He could already see

That you would be my hero

And everything I wanna be

When God made you my mother

He was bein' good to me

I come to you with all my secrets

And you never, ever judge

And when I'm fallin' in my weakness

You give me strength to stand back up

No amount of miles could separate us

No place where I don't feel your love

You say I'm the gift that Heaven gave ya

But mama, I'm the lucky one

'Cause when God made you my mother

He knew who I'd need

When he picked you from the others

He could already see

That you would be my hero

And everything I wanna be

When God made you my mother

He was bein' good to me

If I'm ever a mother, I wanna be like you

If he picks me from the others

I'm gonna try to fill your shoes

'Cause mama, you're my hero

And everything I wanna be

When God made you my mother

He was bein' good to me

Yeah, he was bein' good to me
