Obituary of Timothy James Rogers

Timothy James Rogers, 79, received his angel wings May 11, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born August 25, 1943 in Seattle, Washington to Timothy and Margaret Rogers. He received his master’s degree in Bismarck, ND and went on to work for Fluor Corp for 30 plus years, becoming the Vice-President until retirement.

Tim and Joyce were blessed with 43 years of marriage. They spent their life living abroad and treasuring the home they made in Oklahoma, where they were surrounded by kids, grandkids, horses and many loved pets.

Tim was an avid outdoorsman and the ultimate cowboy. His love of animals was evident throughout his life. His greatest hobby was his horses and collecting saddles and any other leather item that a horse or cowboy might need. All stamped with his initials “TJR.”  Tim loved to ride and rode his last horse Snoopy until recently. He enjoyed taking his horses on trail trips long and short.

Tim was a strong, determined man with an impeccable work ethic, which he instilled in all 4 of his children. Tim was immensely proud of his family and made sure they knew how proud he was.

Tim was truly loved and will be greatly missed. He was a grumpy grandpa often, but it meant the world to him to spend treasured time with all of his grandkids and greats.

Tim is survived by his partner in crime of 43 years, Joyce, his 4 children; Mark, Cindy, Tyler, and Christian, as well as 8 grandkids, and 12 great-grandkids, his brother Mike and sister Kathy.  He joins in Heaven, his parents, sister Debra and grandson Travis.
