Obituary of Billy Gene Brooks

Billy Gene Brooks 83 of Owasso, OK passed away at St. Francis Hospital. He was the son of the late Granville and Celeste (Smith) Brooks. He was raised in Konawa and graduated from Konawa High School. He moved to California where he married the late Alma (Freeman) Moore, a mother of four. They had one daughter together. He was a machinist for many years until he retired in 2000, they moved back to Oklahoma to retire. Billy was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jones, brothers Charles Brooks, and John Brooks. He is survived by his sisters, Annie Manning of Thackerville, OK, Mary Smith of Seminole, OK, Barbara (Leroy) Jones of Gilmer, TX, and Bonnie (Freddie) Melton of Konawa, OK. Stepchildren, Kent (Jamie) Moore of Apple Valley, CA, Lori Moore of CA, Rodney Moore of Victorville, CA, Keith Moore of CA, and daughter Michelle (Steve) Harvey of Owasso, OK. Grandchildren Stacie Moore, Travis (Autumn) Moore, Angie (Joe) Koelle, and Ethan Harvey. Also, eight great grandchilden. A graveside service will be held Monday June 12th at Greenwood Cemetery in Porter, OK.
