Obituary of Karen Colleen Riley

Karen Colleen Riley, 71-year-old retired aircraft mechanic of Mounds, Oklahoma passed away July 3, 2023 at her home, surrounded by family. She was born April 23, 1952 in Pontiac, Michigan and is proceeded in death by her parents Harry and Alma Palmer, many friends, and niece Erin McPeak Smith. She served in the United States Army Reserve and worked as an aircraft mechanic at Rockwell and then retired from American Airlines.
Karen is survived by her daughter Jamie Wofford, son Joe Wofford, grandchildren Kody Choate, Parker Wadley, Amity Wofford, Bentlee Wofford, and siblings Gayle Chiappone, Steve Palmer, Retha Palmer and Cindy McPeak.
Her hobbies included riding motorcycles, reading books, playing the bass guitar, playing softball, gardening, drinking beer with her buddies, and spending time with her greatest loves, her children and grandchildren.
Her unconditional love will be truly missed by all who knew her.
The family of Karen Riley would like to express their sincere “Thank You” to everyone for their thoughts and acts of kindness during their loss, and a special thanks to Amanda Owens and Shai Silk of A-Vow Hospice.
There will be a private gathering of family and friends at the Mounds Community Center, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at 2 p.m.
