Lloyd Herman Watson, 81, went to his heavenly home May 25, 2010. He was born in Highland, Arkansas, to Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Watson on November 24, 1928. He was married to Jacquie Garner Watson on July 24, 1950. Lloyd graduated from Murfeesboro High School in Murfeesboro, Arkansas in 1946. He attended Tulsa Tech and the University of Tulsa. In 1987 he retired as superintendent of Midcontinent Pipeline, Sun Oil Co. of Tulsa after 34 years. Lloyd served as Music Minister for several local churches and was an active member, he also sang in several gospel quartets through the years. He was a member of Southside Christian Church and most recently Forrest Hills Baptist Church. Lloyd was an avid golfer. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife Jacquie; children; Rick Watson and wife Ruth of Heavener, Oklahoma, Donna Gail Carner and husband Robert of Houston, Texas, Lou Ann Lafevers and husband Denton of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Tracy Watson of Jenks, Oklahoma; grandchildren; Lena Davis, Todd Carner, Melanie Case, Chad Lafevers and Jon Lafevers; great grandchildren; Cadence and Delano Davis, Brandon and Jillian Carner, Savannah Screechowl, Gavin Beaumont, Brody and Slater Case, Trey Lafevers and Molly Lafevers. Siblings are brothers; L.Z. Watson and Imogene of Glenwood, Arkansas and Travis Watson and Sue of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. Lloyd is also survived by many other relatives and a host of friends. Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents; Clifford and Clara Watson, sister; Lucille Watson; brother; Raymond Watson and brother-in-law Dr. Curtis Garner. Services will be Thursday May 27, 2010 at 10:00 am at Faith Baptist Church in Sapulpa with burial to follow at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 26, 2010 from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Officiating the services will be Rev. Garnet Cole. Pallbearers will be Todd Carner, Chad Lafevers, Jon Lafevers, Joshua Davis, Ian Case and Jeff Hembree. The family would like to thank Good Shepherd Hospice, Encompass Home Health and Ranch Terrace Nursing Home of Sapulpa for their excellent care of our loved one. We are so grateful for their kind and compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Alzheimers Association.
