Obituary of Ronnie Leroy Mercer

Ronnie LeRoy Mercer was born Aril 10, 1941 in Miami, Oklahoma to parents LeRoy and Ruby. He went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2023 at the age of 82.

Growing up Ronnie live in Glenpool and lived most of his adult life in Sapulpa. He married Ethel Kathleen Bunch and the couple shared 65 years together before she passed away in 2017. They were blessed with a family of 5, including daughter Mary, and 2 sons Donald and Steven.

Ronnie worked for Braden Carco Gearmatic in Broken Arrow for 31 years. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, watching OU football and women’s softball.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents LeRoy and Ruby Mercer, wife Ethel “Kathy” Mercer, son Steven Strain, sister Earline Givins. He is survived by daughter Mary Clagg, son Donald Strain, Jr., brother Doyle Mercer, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
