Obituary of Shiry Lou Evans

Shiry Lou (McClurg) Evans came into this world in a snowstorm on December 25, 1943, Christmas Day, swaddled in a pillowcase, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Daniel and Coralie McClurg. She passed from this life at the age of 79 and 8 months in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Shiry was married to Jimmy Evans, Sr. on August 23, 1958 and lived in Kiefer, Oklahoma where they raised their family. She moved to Tulsa where she worked at Labarge Electronics, retiring after more than 20 years of service. Upon her retirement she moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Shiry enjoyed road trips with her children, playing dominoes with her girlfriends, working crossword puzzles, and listening to a variety of music. We will miss her colorful commentary, infectious laugh, and her sweet hugs and kisses. She loved her grandkids dearly and bragged on them often.

She was preceded in death by her parents Daniel McClurg and Coralie Manning, sister Danalie Woods, brother Danny McClurg, brother Wayne.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter Teresa Rector and husband Daryl of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, daughter Tracy Thomas of Bristow, Oklahoma, son Jimmy Evans, Jr and wife Rhonda of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, daughter Tammy Wattenbarger and husband Brian of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

10 Grandchildren Jennifer Ashford, Christopher Rector, Kimberley Rector, Travis Thomas, Megan Thomas, Steven Thomas, Daniel Thomas, Kyle Evans, Angel Caffee, and Hilary Evans, 15 Great grandchildren, Julia Ashford, Trenton Ashford, Raegan Rector, Morgan Rector & Ronnie, Molly Thomas, Xander (Huck) Thomas, Mason Thomas, Olivia Sabella, Opal Thomas, Stevie Jane Thomas, Alice Thomas, Alyssa Caffee, Alivia Caffee, Tahlia Caffee. Along with a host of other loving family members and friends.
