Obituary of David Loyd Gee

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

David Loyd Gee Jr was born on July 19, 1964 to David Loyd Gee Sr and Loretta Jane Gee near Oklahoma City, OK. He grew up in Sapulpa, OK and attended Sapulpa Public Schools.

On most weekends in the 90’s you could find Davey at Grandma and Grandpas house playing card games or Mexican train with his siblings and spending time with his children Trey and Lorann. Spending time with his children, siblings, and all his nieces and nephews was important to Davey. If he was with family nothing else mattered.

Davey was a free spirit who touched lives in his own unique way. Camping under the open sky was where he truly felt at home, barefoot and carefree.  Once you met Davey, you had a friend you could call on whenever for whatever, just know wherever you were going, you’d have to stop to pick up some backwoods cigars on your way. Saturday nights were special to Davey, they were reserved for poker games with his brothers, nephews, and friends, where laughter echoed around the table.

David Loyd Gee Jr., passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. His passing came as a shock, leaving an emptiness that words cannot fill. His loss is unimaginable. He leaves behind cherished memories and the love of those who knew him.

Davey is preceded in death by Trey Gee, his beloved son, Lora Gee-Fuller, his dear sister, Lance Gee, his adventurous brother, Shannon Gee, his fellow wanderer and Loretta Gee, his caring mother.

Davey is survived by Lorann Harmon (Isaiah Harmon), his loving daughter, Ricky Gee (Christine Gee) , his easy-going brother, Russell Gee (Liberty Gee), his fellow free spirit, David Gee Sr, his wise and gentle father. Granddaughters Saylor, Sage and Lainey Harmon. Nieces, Brittany Herring (Arron Herring), Jessica Eddleman and Juniper Gee, Nephews Jerad Gee, Dereck Gee, Christopher Gee, Sam Gee, Jj Wilson, Logan Wilson (Amanda Childers) and Great Nieces and Nephews Rowdy and Blakely Wilson, Henley and Haisley Gee and Raelynn and Mia Herring.

We invite you to join us in celebrating Davey’s life on Saturday, September 30th at 2 pm at Logan and Amanda's house in Kellyville. This will be a time to share stories, honor his free spirit and remembering the man who brought joy and adventure into our lives. Davey may have left this world, but his spirit lives on in the laughter and the memories we hold dear.
