On May 28, 2010, the sunset on Ivene Mozingo McCaig's long and beautiful life's journey, and her soul soared to the Heaven's to be with her Father and her loved ones. May 4, 1918, a gift was born to the world in Ivene Mozingo. Born in Augusta, Kansas to M.E. and Celia Mozingo, she was the youngest of 3 daughters. She attended college at Baldwin University in Kansas where she met and married Richard McCaig in 1938. Over the years, she enjoyed bird watching, butterflys, sewing, traveling and dancing among many other activities. She was a long time resident of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and a member of the First United Methodist Church for 72 years. Her biggest sources of joy in life were in the roles she played as a Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Sister, Daughter and Friend. Ivene leaves behind a legacy of love that will live in the hearts of her survivors - Her son, Michael McCaig and his wife Kathy McCaig, Her daughter - Sharon McCaig, Her 3 grandchildren - Scott McCaig, Shannon McCaig and Matthew Hiser, Her 2 great grandchildren - Aaron and Walker rmccaig She will also live on in the heart of her Nephew, Roger Kraus and his family, her cousin Esther Mozingo and her best friend Sue stroud and jamie miles. She was proceeded in death by her parents, sisters, husband and many friends. Ivene touched many lifes throughout her years and a celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 1pm in Sapulpa, Oklahoma at the Greenhill Memorial Chapel.
