Obituary of Rebecca Willis

Rebecca Ann “Becci” Willis passed away at home on September 28, 2023, at the age of 74. She was born on July 5, 1949, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to the late Hershal and Betty (Caldwell) Bennett. She was the middle child after Sandi and before Shawn. She attended and graduated from Mounds Public Schools, and later attended NEO A&M in Miami, OK for 1 year. She married Frank Williams in 1971, gaining two children, Kim and Rick. Frank was tragically killed in an auto accident in 1973, and Becci later married Jim Willis in 1977, gaining another child, Jimmy Dale. Becci and Jim lived in Vera, Claremore, and Jay, OK before Jim passed away in 2006. Becci then moved to Tulsa to be near Sandi until she moved home to Mounds to live in the family homeplace.

Becci worked at Sun Oil, Billy Cassett Co., Great Plains Airlines, and Simmons Foods before her retirement.

Becci and Jim’s Easters were always super family celebrations with food galore and great company. Her spaghetti dinners were legendary.

Becci loved her animals through the years; Pepe, Bitsy, Queenie, Dudley, and her last “Babies.’’

A compassionate friend with a big heart and giving spirit, Becci loved her family more than anything.
