Forrest Christopher "Bill" Lowe, 89, passed away June 2, 2010 in Killeen, Texas. He was born on, November 12, 1920 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Edd E. and Amada Bell Postelwait Lowe. Forrest graduated May 16, 1940 from Blackburn High School in Blackburn, Oklahoma. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in Newfoundland Atlantic Arena during WW II from 1941 - 1945. He married Marie Elaine Guillory on October 12, 1945 in Gretna, Louisiana. Forrest worked for Frisco Railroad as a machinist in Tulsa Oklahoma from 1945 - 1948, he then went to work for Chevron Oil Company and spent 35 years there beginning in August 30, 1948 to August 1983. His many years with Chevron USA Incorporated took him many places. He spent 24 years in the Weber Basin of Rangely, Colorado, six years in Love Valley in Marietta, Oklahoma, and five years as construction foreman in Evanston, Wyoming-Rocky Mountain Division. Forrest was a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church in Rangely, Colorado. He taught the senior adult Sunday school class at Angus Acres Baptist Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. He was also a member of First Baptist church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Forrest's personal interest were caring for his lawn, hauling wood in his blue, S10 Chevy truck, raising tomatoes, corn, onions, carrots, and okra in his garden in Sapulpa as well as woodworking, crafts including his unique bird houses. Forrest always helped his neighbors no matter what they needed. He will always be loved and remembered for being a beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother-in-law to Paul Guillory, Ouita Ott, and Betty Webb. He was a hardworking company man who always cared and provided for his family. Forrest is survived by his wife Elaine of 65 years of Killeen, Texas; daughters; Lydia Lowe of Killeen Texas, Pamela Lowe-Brock and husband Stephen of Vancouver, Washington, Angela Lowe of Lawrence, Kansas; Grandchildren; Kimberly Lynne Brock, of Hillsboro, Oregon, Christopher Paul Brock, of Vancouver, Washington, Michael Todd Brock, of Vancouver, Washington; Brothers; Floyd Lowe, of Russellville, Arkansas, Herbert Lowe, or Rangely, Colorado, and sister, Mary Bell-Heinicke, or Tulsa, Oklahoma.
