Obituary of Janice Carol Long

Janice Carol Long was born in Dustin, Oklahoma on January 30, 1940, to parents Lillian Faye and Elton Lacy Minyard. Janice went to be with the Lord and her husband Leon on November 26, 2023, at the age of 83.

Janice married Leon Long on February 23, 1958. They were married for 57 years.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, going to church and being a great mom to her 4 boys.

Janice loved singing in the church choir with Leon; she loved her church family.

She worked for a few years at City Finance in Sapulpa. She then went to work for Cornelius Oil for 29 years where she developed many lifelong friendships.

Janice leaves behind her 4 sons, Ricky A. Long of Sand Springs, Clinton W. Long of Kellyville, L. Jackson Long and wife Corri of Kiefer, Ivan L. Long of Kellyville, and a host of grandkids and great grandkids. She also leaves behind numerous church family and friends that she cherished and spoke of often.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leon Long, brother Donnie Minyard, mother Faye Minyard, father Elton Minyard, and her grandparents.

Reception to be held at Kellyville First Baptist Church.
