Obituary of Ruby Jewel Scott
In 1939, Ruby was married to the man who would become the love of her life, on that joyful day, she became Mrs. Dan Scott. From their joyous union came the blessing of three children, Danny, Betty, and Tom. She was also blessed with 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and I honestly do not know how many great greats, a lot!
Ruby read and studied her Bible daily and thankfully she did because it gave her the patience and strength to raise us and not ship us off somewhere. She also drove herself to and attended church where she always sat in the 2nd row. Ruby often told friends of the church that she speaks the word and gets life and would quote Proverbs 18:21, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Ruby led a long and blessed life and even at the age of 101, she could hardly be slowed down. She was never one to complain and she spent many of her years talking about her beloved children. She was a woman who prayed for her family and hoped each person she loved would accept Jesus. The memories she knew she would always hold dear were of being taken on car rides, her son accompanying her on her hair appointments, and the day she was so blessed when her son came to church with her.
Ruby was truly loved by many and will be deeply missed by all.
