Obituary of S.D. Mink

Shirley Dean “Deano” Mink, 83 of Glenpool, Oklahoma passed peacefully, in his daughter’s home, Friday December 15, 2023. Dean was born May 20, 1940, in Rockcastle, Kentucky to Gilbert and Sibyl Mink.

He grew up in Kentucky and later moved to Sapulpa, Oklahoma with his parents. He worked many years as a truck driver before settling down and retiring from Waste Management. He spent his retirement running a deer processing business called Shorty and Dean’s before he and his best friend Will had to call it quits due to aging and the health of loved ones. Dean enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, and spending time with friends and family. 

He is survived by his three daughters; Pamela Mink and husband David of Leopold, IN, Dana Mink-Roy and husband Aj of Vinita, OK, and Deana Pahsetopah and husband Anthony of Sand springs, OK; a brother, Robert Marcum and wife Ruby of Richmond, IN; 9 Grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and family. 

Dean is proceeded in death by his wife Arizona “Zoni” Mink; his infant son; parents Gilbert and Sibyl Mink; brothers Charles Bussell, Tommy Marcum, and James Mink, and great-granddaughter Mya Roy.

Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Green Hill Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00p.m. Services are scheduled for Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 2:00p.m. at Green Hill Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Green Hill Funeral Home.
