Rufus Wayne Ramsey 1944-2024
Rufus Wayne Ramsey, 79, of Schulter, Oklahoma, died in Okmulgee, Oklahoma on January 14, 2024.
He was born in Bixby, Oklahoma on March 27, 1944 to Rufus London Ramsey and Dorothy Vera Howell.
Wayne married Joyce Gail Lambert on April 3, 1970. They were married for 53 years.
Wayne obtained his Associates degree at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, OK and was a Veteran with the Army National Guard as Sergeant First Class for 22 years.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents Rufus London Ramsey and Dorothy Vera Howell.
Survived by his only son, Jeremy Wayne Ramsey, and wife, Sellena Ramsey. Grandchildren: Ciara Bruce and Garrett Bruce, along with many friends.
You are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Green Hill for Wayne and Gail Ramsey, planned for March 6, 2025, at 2pm, with a program including music, officiating, and refreshments, and you are requested to bring music if desired.
