Obituary of Billy Richard Weeks

Billy Richard Weeks, eighty-eight years old of Owasso, Oklahoma, was promoted to His new heavenly home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 15, 2024. Born on September 15, 1935, to Lee and Lorean Weeks of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Bill grew up and graduated from Eureka Springs High School, where he met the love of his life, Wanda. Bill enjoyed and excelled in playing basketball, among other things. 

Bill’s greatest loves were his Lord Jesus Christ, his wife Wanda of 63 years, his family, fishing, and cooking.

Bill was a kind and generous man. No one will ever know how many people were blessed by Bill’s generosity since most of his giving was anonymous. 

On June 28, 1981, the trajectory of his family changed when he surrendered his life to Jesus Christ and began to serve Him.

Bill loved family, spending time talking, eating, and playing spinner. He cherished time spent with his wife, Wanda, his children Ronnie, Janice, and Linda, and his brother and sisters.

He felt blessed by the family and friends he loved and cherished. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda, and siblings Annabelle Hunter, Anna Lee Ames, Charles Weeks, and Dorothy Hull.

He is survived by his two sisters, Helen Farwell, and Carolyn (Tom) Snodgrass. He is survived by three children: Ronnie (Faith) Weeks of Hallet, Oklahoma, Janice (Don) Jones of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Linda (Chris) Winn of Shawnee, Kansas; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-nine great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
