Obituary of Harold Leslie Hamilton

Harold L Hamilton II was called home to be with the Lord on February 19, 2024, at the age of 75. He was born in Indiana on December 27, 1948.

After school, Harold enlisted in the United States Marine Corps.  He was deployed to Vietnam where he served a little over one and a half tours. He earned several medals, including a Purple Heart.

When Harold returned home from his service overseas, he met and married Diana ‘Cookie’ Miley. Together they had five children and moved from Indiana to Texas and then finally making their home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Harold worked for many years at the glass house and was well respected in his profession. Aside from work, he was proud to raise his children in the Word. Every week he would share a scripture with them on their whiteboard in the hallway, ‘More wisdom from dear old dad.’ He enjoyed coaching his children in various sports and Coach Hamilton made an impact on many lives throughout the years. The Hamilton house was the place to be and was always filled with not only Hamilton kids, but many friends.

In his later years, Harold and his wife Linda enjoyed watching all of his greatest blessings, his grandchildren, grow and enjoy life. He treasured his time with his new tractor and had several beloved pets: Toby, Boomer, Sooner, and Miss Kitty.

Harold is preceded in death by his late wife, Diana ‘Cookie’ Hamilton, brother Jim Hamilton, father-in-law Dwight ‘Toke’ Perry, Faye Rossman, and Suzanne Griffith.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; Children: Spunk and Donna, Bubba, Dirt and Kendall, Scooter and Amanda, Sis and Ken, Kasey Pipkin and Melinda Stuart. His blessings: Gunner, Chase, Liberty, Brady, Trinity, Emma, Megan, Zack, Andy, Dana, Hailey, Drew, Jimmy, Shawnie, and Robert.
