Larry Clifton Roberts was born on October 11, 1945, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He passed away on March 3, 2024, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.

Larry was adopted. His birth father was Enloe Hooper Cook. His birth mother was Lillian Claudine Cox. He was named John Max Cook. At 6 months old, he was adopted by Francus Clifton Roberts and Dorothy Roberts, and they named him Larry Clifton Roberts. He was the love and joy of their lives.

He grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma and graduated from C.F. Donart High School in 1964. He served in the Vietnam Army from 1966-1969. In August 1970, he married the love of his life, Darlene in Mannford, Oklahoma. He asked her every day if he told her that he loved her that day. They were married 53 years and together had 2 sons, Clifton Roberts and wife Jill, and Eugene Roberts and wife Becky.

His family was quite large with 3 grandchildren, Kellie Roberts, Kylie Roberts and Katelyn Roberts and other family members including Betty Hosier from Puyallup, Washington, Steve and Retha Fanelli from Meridan, Idaho, Jerry and Nickie Smith from Lakewood Ranch, Florida, Jo Ann Hogg from Little Rock, Arkansas, Dale and Sandra Meaders from Lafayette, Tennessee, Cayle Holt from Hendersonville, Tennessee, Roger McDonald from Lafayette, Tennessee, Michelle Jenkins from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Ron and Jeanene Hulsey from Santa Fe, New Mexico, Terry and Jane Mitchell from Springdale, Arkansas, Mike Mitchell from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, David and Kimberly Mitchell from Cascais, Portugal, Doug and Amy Mitchell from Springdale, Arkansas, and many extended family and friends.
