Mary was a one of a kind. She stayed true to her I’m doing life my way and nobody can stop me. We loved grams with all our hearts and was always a joy to met in the driveways on Hobson just to catch up on life. She was our very awesome neighbor across the street and she will be sooooo missed. Our prayers go out to all the family.

Mary always had a smile and twinkle to her eye. She loved to have fun and was such a joy to be around. Mischievous as all get out and she will be very deeply missed by anyone who was gifted knowing her. Heaven truly gained an Angel!!!

Mary was the sweetish lady and very funny. I enjoyed visiting with her and she was very giving. Once while I was visiting with her she gave me some Tea Cup and saucer sets when she learned I was having a Tea Party for my Red Hat ladies. I will really miss her. God bless you sweet lady.

I'm not certain "wittiness", while certainly true, is enough to describe this lady. She could have been a standup comic and kept the audience rolling in laughter. I met Mary many years ago at a, what else, class reunion, I think she enjoyed them as much as I do. I cannot imagine anyone that ever met her, could forget her. At a number of events over the years I saw her and always took time to engage her in conversation for the sheer entertainment value of the exchange as we played off of each other in the conversation and I suspect some around us thought we were both "nuts". She had some one-liners that were real corkers and could keep delivering them. She liked to be a little bit sexy with her inuendoes, funny, not nasty. She was fun to be around.
My encounters with Mary weren't significant in number, but all were significant in the enjoyment they each provided. One quality, an outstanding one, was that without uttering a single off-color word she could convey a message that would make some blush. I loved playing this game with her in our conversations.
Lastly, it took me years to realize the commonalities I shared with her; went to school with Emma, Bruce and Carlene and Carlene's mother before them were neighbors growing up, followed Bruce in the sports he played in high school. It is truly a small world.
I will miss Mary the next time the classes of the sixties get together, she was nearly always there with that big smile, witty sayings, inuendoes and more, a great conversationalist that I never tired of visiting with.

I have known Mary for many years. She always greeted me w/a smile and a hug and of course, a smart aleck remark to make my day. I loved that woman!
Mary was a friend to everyone who walked into the Sapulpa Sr. Center and will be missed by all who were fortunate to know her.
My heart aches for your family during this time of loss. Praying you find comfort in precious memories.
