Ronald Eugene Petitt, beloved husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle and friend, 76, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma passed from this life on Friday, April 5, 2024, with his wife and daughter by his side.

 

Ronnie was born on January 29, 1948, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Roy and Gracie Ritchie Petitt. He grew up with 6 siblings: Roy Petitt of Sand Springs, Shirley Holmes of Sapulpa, Robert (June) Petitt of Mounds, Brenda (Tommy) Manning of Sapulpa, Lillie Troxell (Joe) of Sapulpa, and Mary Buthod of Kellyville. He graduated High School and married his High School Sweetheart, Linda Anderson one year after on June 9, 1967. Five months later he was drafted and sent to Vietnam.

 

He worked as a forklift mechanic for 47 years and retired from Southern Material Shipping and Handling. He loved hunting, fishing and traveling to Army Reunions.

 

Ronnie is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Anderson Petitt of Sapulpa, daughter Kelly Petitt Soerries and grandson Jacob Soerries both of Broken Arrow, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

 

The family would like to thank The Grove at Midtown, Livewell Hospice, and all the caring staff that helped Ronnie live his best life.
