John Mark “Johnboy” Oldham
John Mark “Johnboy” Oldham, age 52, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, April 10, 2024. He passed in his home with his loving wife Chrissy and beloved daughter Tiffany by his side, after a long, valiant battle with cancer. John was born October 19, 1971 in Sapulpa to Bill and Barbara Oldham.
John was the youngest of four children; he grew up in Sapulpa where he met his best friend, Jerry Davenport, around the age of four. They met while attending the Church of God of Prophecy with his family. He enjoyed Little League baseball as a child. In high school he joined the Sapulpa High School golf team, played the trumpet and tuba for the marching band, and attended Central Tech for his electrical certification. John graduated from Sapulpa High School alongside his best friend in May 1989. John has two Associate degrees from Oklahoma State University Technical College, Diesel Mechanics and computer science. He was always eager to learn, gaining many certifications for various skills throughout his life. John reconnected and married his soul mate Chrissy in May of 2021, and together their blended family contains four daughters, three sons, and seven grandchildren.
John loved cars, especially old cars, history, and historical architecture. He also enjoyed knowing how things worked and fixing things, from cars and trucks, to tractors, to watches, He was always tinkering with something.
John also enjoyed his walk with the Lord and was always continuing in that journey. John is survived by his wife Chrissy Holmes-Oldham, their children Tiffany and husband Dakota Roesner; Paul Stratton and husband Josh Long: Tayler and husband Alex Brown; Dakota Stratton; Katie and Husband Skyler Hill; and Brianna and husband Colton Rake. Grandchildren include Emmett, Caden, Scarlett, Leilani, Baylor, Lily and Emmaline. John is also survived by his parents Bill and Barbara Oldham, as well as his siblings Mike and his wife Vicki Oldham; Pam Ballard; Robyn and husband James Casher; his mother-in-law Paula Fritz; sister-in-law Michelle Rossler; and sister-in-law Angie and husband Blake Platner; 9 nephews and 8 nieces, his best friend Jerry Davenport, as well as a multitude of extended family and friends.
We are grateful and appreciative of all the kindness, support, prayers, thoughtfulness and love you have shown to our family during our loss. Thank you.
