Obituary of Ollie Richard Brown

Ollie Richard Brown entered the gates of Heaven on Friday, May 31, 2024, at the age of 82. Ollie was born in Slick, Oklahoma to Eddie Roxie Brown and Rosie Jewell (Bolin) Brown on September 1, 1941. Ollie married the love of his life, Wanda Louise Russell, on October 11, 1963, and later welcomed two sons, Mark Wayne Brown and Steve Anthony Brown.

Ollie enjoyed singing gospel songs with family and deer hunting with family and friends in Slick. He was a member of the Pretty Water Free Will Baptist Church for over 50 years. Ollie was known for his sense of humor, kindness to others, his faith in God, and his loving spirit. 

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Eddie and Rosie Jewell Brown, his brothers, Andrew Carlos Brown, Edward Ralph Brown, Delbert Gene Brown, Clarence Alvin Brown, and sisters, Mary Lois Taylor, Clara Anna Hancock, Eva Jewell King, and Maxine Matilda Broom.

Ollie is survived by his wife, Wanda, his two sons, Mark and Steve, and sisters, Bonnie Bruton, and Alice Lozada, of Sapulpa.

A viewing will be held June 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Green Hill Funeral Home in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The funeral service will be held Friday, June 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Green Hill Funeral Home.
