Obituary of Michael Loyal Heath

Michael Heath was born on June 21, 1951 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Mike, as he was known by his family and friends passed away peacefully, on June 15, 2024 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mike spent his childhood years in Pawhuska, OK, where he graduated from Pawhuska High School High School in 1969. Mike enlisted in the United States Navy 1971. Where he served eight years to include abroad on the USS Perry DD-844 and the USS Sampson DDG-10. Mike was proud of his military service and was dedicated to the Disabled American Veterans Association and helping others who have served.

Mike’s greatest love was spending time with family and friends fishing. Some of his hobbies were making knives, spending time at the casino, and playing with any and all of his electronic gadgets, especially things that had wheels. Mike had a special talent with music and he could pick up any instrument and play.

Mike started a career driving trucks.  His love for his job developed into a passion that led to educating future drivers. After 25 years of teaching, he retired in 2015. 

Mike met Patty in 1995 at Caravan. Mike asked Patty to help with western dancing lessons.  Patty agreed and they have been together for 29 years. 

Mike is survived by his wife Patty Heath; his brother Leal Hall (wife Denise); his daughters Crystal Heath-Nichols (husband Eric), grandchildren Trey, (wife Marissa) and Ashley (wife Jenn), great-grandchildren Maxximus and Arriella; Natosha Britton (husband Scott), granddaughters Madison and Morgan; Sheri Springer; Rebecca Landrum (husband Bobby), granddaughter Paige (husband Gavin), great-grandson Kannon; son Joe Baker (wife Christina), granddaughter Taylor; and many nieces & nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Francis & Mary Heath, siblings Donella Hall, Marion Heath, Bobby Heath, and Danny Heath.

Mike’s family and friends will gather for his Celebration of Life at Kiefer First Christian Church located at 649 Indiana Ave, Kiefer, OK 74041 on Thursday, June 20, 2024 @ 11:30AM, officiated by Jeff Graham.

Military Memorial will be conducted at Greenhill Cemetery located at 400 E Teel Rd, Sapulpa, OK 74066 on Thursday June 20, 2024 @ 2:00PM.
