Obituary of Douglas Woodin
Douglas (Doug) Woodin (71) of Owasso, Ok passed with his loving wife by his side on 6/19/2024.
He was born in Cahoes, NY and grew up in Amarillo, TX and graduated from Palo Duro High School before joining the United States Marine Corps. After joining the USMC, he was stationed in the Philippines where he met his perfect match, Ludy. They were married in Santa Ana, CA on 12/27/1976. Doug was active in the USMC for 6 ½ years. After leaving the military, they moved to Owasso where Doug attended school at Spartan to get his A&P License and had a career in Aviation for 30+ years. Doug enjoyed camping and fishing with his family, coaching his kids in baseball, rebuilding old cars, and remodeling and building his family home. His favorite thing in life was spending time with his family, telling old stories and making lifelong memories.
Doug was survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Lourdes (Ludy) Woodin and his sidekick Dixie, his beloved dachshund. His son Ted Damilao (Jackie Ward) of Owasso, OK, daughter Rose Damilao-Miles (Brian) of Owasso, OK, son Eric Woodin (Misha) of Broken Arrow, OK, and son Aaron Woodin (Stephanie) of Fulton, IL. His grandchildren Micah, Thea (Dillon), Gavin (Annslee), Austin (Bethany), Courtney, Halia, Josh, Kobi, Evie, Skylar and Deacon (14) and his great grandchildren Dax, Eli, Caydin, Calin, Amaya (5). His siblings, Ruth Simms, Sharon Hulen, Dennis (Gayla), Duane (Shirley) and many loved nieces and nephews.
Doug was preceded in death by his mother Imogene, father Peter and brother Woody.
