Obituary of Clythia Jane Wilmott

Please share a memory of Clythia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Clythia Jane Wilmott a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Sister went home to be with the Lord on July 29th, 2024, at the age of 89 in Glenpool, Oklahoma.

Clythia Jane was born on June 5th, 1935, near Bentonville, Arkansas to Willie and Millie Rose. Throughout her childhood she lived in many states including Arkansas, California, Washington, and finally settled in Oklahoma with her parents and 5 younger siblings whom she helped raise throughout the years. She loved riding horses and could ride like the wind.

On August 16th, 1957, Jane married the love of her life Jack Wilmott. They spent the next 67, almost 68 years building a wonderful life together. If you saw one of them it was almost certain the other wasn’t too far behind as they were rarely ever apart. They spent many years square dancing, being members of the Moose Lodge, and traveling to many different places all over the world with their family and friends. Jane enjoyed being a co-pilot for Jack, playing bingo, and watching Days of our Lives. Most of all she loved her family and devoted her life to taking care of everyone and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids.

She was preceded in death by parents Willie and Millie, siblings Cleda, Darrell (Bud), Jerry, and Bill, brothers-in-law Avery, Leo, Jim, Harold, Gerold, and Scott, sisters-in-law Patricia, Joyce, Loretta, Leotta, Lulla Bell, Mae and Nancy, and nephews Kenneth and Jim.

Clythia Jane is survived by husband Jack Wilmott, daughter Millie Gay Greer and husband Phillip, daughter Glenna Frazier and husband Jim, grandchildren Sabrina Morgan, Amy Shepherd and husband Aaron, Jacob Greer and wife Amber, and Amanda Perry, great-grandchildren Tinley and Dalton Morgan, Caden and Shaylee Shepherd, Braxton Perry and Hendrix Burk, sister Joann Chambers, sisters-in-law Christina and Linda Rose, Marie and Pat Wilmott, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Her passing will leave a huge hole in everyone’s hearts, and she will be deeply missed, but always remember she loved you all as you loved her.
