S J Green, age 87 and a resident of Sand Springs, passed away on August 2, 2010 at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on January 29, 1923 in Drake, Oklahoma to William Louis Green and Cora Vandergrift-Green. S J retired from the US Air Force. He served his country during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars, where he spent his career working in the post office. He married Rachel Duval on August 19, 1988 in Fulton County, Georgia. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
S J is survived by his wife, Rachel of the home; brothers, Edward Eugene and James Eldon Green; and sisters, Cleo Sapp and Jewett Hinson.
