Jack was born on August 26th, 1929, in Glenpool, Oklahoma to Lee and Glenna Wilmott. Jack was a true Warrior having spent his entire life calling Glenpool his home. As a boy his brothers and him were always into something which likely ended in someone getting into trouble. After graduating from Glenpool Schools, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany during the Korean War. Jack would later begin working for American Airlines as an electrical technician. After retiring from American in 1991 he worked as an Electrician running his own business. He was a member of Glenpool’s VFW, the Akdar Shriners, Moose Lodge and served on the Glenpool Fire Department.
Jack married the love of his life Jane on August 16th, 1957, and spent the next 67, almost 68 years building a life together. Jack lived for his wife, daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. His family was everything to him and he devoted every day to them. He enjoyed traveling, golfing, square dancing, and spending hours beyond hours working outside on whatever he thought needed to be worked on. He was so proud when he was able to purchase his land where he and his family created memories that will last forever. He was a Hero to his family and always there no matter when or where. Having lived 95 wonderful years, he was full of stories and could sit and talk for hours about anything and everything. Jack loved big and we loved him just as much. The void he leaves will never be filled and we will miss him greatly but look forward to the day we will get to see him and Jane dance on the streets of gold with our own eyes.
